Public coffee machines use suspended due to suspected lead in water

The Health and Economy Ministries issued a joint recommendation calling on cafés and places of work that offer coffee to reduce to a minimum the intake of coffee at their establishments, due to suspected lead in the water of certain coffee machines models.

The models are issued by Israeli-made La Favorita and Italian-made Binki coffee machine companies. Half of their machines tested by the Health Ministry were found to have lead residue that exceeded the allowed amount.
