The police had set up the roadblock outside the Dodge Center to check vehicles coming into the compound. The driver who injured the officer ignored the flashlight shone through the windshield, accelerated and slammed into the police officer, who was taken for medical treatment at a nearby hospital.
The car was located later that night after a police search. The four occupants, young adults aged 18 to 20 from Nazareth, were all arrested. Saturday night, they are to be brought before the Nazareth Magistrates' Court for a remand hearing.
