19-year-old from Nazareth charged for running over a police officer

The Prosecutor's office filed charges against Shadi abu-Heit, a 19-year-old from Nazareth, for running over a police officer who had pulled him over about a week ago in Nazareth illit and lightly injuring him.

According to the indictment, abu-Heit fled the scene and after a few hundred meters, slammed his car into a wall.

He is charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, assault on a police officer, and obstructing a police officer in the line of duty.
