Haifa fire fighters called after heavy smoke reported from underground stations

Fire fighting units were called on Saturday to the Carmelit underground railway station on Ha-Nevi'im St. The call was placed due to heavy smoke seen coming out of the station. The Carmelit does not operate on the Sabbath.

The smoke has reportedly begun coming out of several other stations. Fire fighters are currently looking for its source.

The police have closed several streets as attempts are made to find and handle the source of smoke.
