Herzog tweeted: "I am discharged from the hospital and going home. I'm glad this is behind me. I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all those who asked, worried, blessed and prayed for me. To all of you, health is what truly matters."
He continued to write: "In the last 24 hours, I saw the doctors and residents up close, the nurses and auxiliary personnel. They are all angels in white and green. Professionals who give their heart and soul to everyone. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!"
The hospital reported that on Friday night, 56-year-old MK Herzog, independently arrived to the ER and underwent a series of tests that raised suspicion of a mild, transient stroke.
"He feels great and is communicating with his surroundings," said Ichilov in a statement.
The medical staff decided to keep him overnight for observation in the neurology department, and as stated, he was discharged to his home on Saturday afternoon.
