Senior officials in Safed municipality suspected of bribery

Police have detained for questioning four suspects, among them senior officials in the Safed municipality, under suspicion of bribery and fraud in the field of real estate.

The police stated that business factors have allegedly promoted projects by offering bribes and benefits to city employees and their relatives.

Police officers of the Lahav 433 investigation unit and the tax authority have raided the suspects' homes and their city council offices, confiscating documents for the investigation.
