Palestinians claim Israel attacked in Gaza Strip in response to firing rocket at Ashkelon region

After a rocket that was launched from the Gaza Strip fell in an open field in the country's Ashkelon region on Monday, Palestinian sources stated that Israel carried out an attack in Gaza as a response.

A Code Red alert was sounded in Israel following the rocket launch toward the Ashkelon region.
