Iran claims to have stopped ISIS-linked cell

None

ANKARA -- Iran said on Friday it had smashed a terrorist cell linked to Islamic State near Tehran that it said had wanted to "sabotage" rallies on Friday to mark the anniversary of the country's 1979 Islamic Revolution that toppled the U.S.-backed Shah.

"We arrested a group linked to Daesh in the past few days ... They wanted to sabotage and carry out devilish acts during the rallies on Friday," Iran prosecutor-general Mohammad Jafar Montazeri was quoted as saying by ILNA news agency.
