After 9 months: Fire and Rescue Commissioner appointed

Minister of the Interior Gilad Erdan has nominated Brigadier General (res.) Dedi Simhi for the position of Fire and Rescue Commissioner.
The last commissioner, Shahar Ayalon, retired on May last year and wasn’t replaced due to delays following the legal proceedings against the nominated commissioner, Moshe Swisa's.
Swisa was later charged and sentenced last month and was reprimanded and demoted. Simhi was nominated in his place as the second-in-line allegeable for the position.
