Netanyahu backs Trump's anti-Semitism statement
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed US President Donald Trump's statement on the rise of anti-Semitism in the past few weeks, saying that "it's important that he took an aggressive stance against anti-Semitism, and it's important that we all continue to do so in the coming years."
Netanyahu said this in a synagogue in Sidney, during his visit to Australia.
In recent weeks there were bomb threats in Jewish community centers and desecrations of Jewish graves in Missouri. Trump addressed these incidents, saying that "anti-Semitism is a terrible thing. It's going to stop and it must stop."
