Female terrorist sentenced to 16 years in prison
Lod District Court has sentenced 23-year-old Shatila Abu Iyada, a resident of Kfar Qasim who stabbed a woman in due to a nationalist motive, to 16 years in prison and a NIS 100,000 fine to the to be paid to the plaintiff.
Abu Iyada confessed, as part of her plea deal, to attempted murder.
On April 3, 2016, Abu Iyada stabbed a woman in Rosh HaAyin's industrial area. A security guard noticed the assailant and detained her after finding a knife in her purse.
