MK Azbarga sworn in as the replacement of MK Ghattas in the Knesset

MK Juma Azbarga has been sworn in to the Knesset to replace MK Basel Ghattas as a Member of Knesset on behalf of the Joint List.

Ghattas resigned from the Knesset as part of a plea bargain signed after he was caught smuggling mobile phones to security prisoners.

MK Azbarga said: "I am entering the Knesset with a desire to work energetically for the benefit of my constituents and the public in general. I am sorry to have entered under such difficult circumstances due to the resignation of MK Ghattas."
