IDF reserves officer collapses and dies after finishing military race
Capt. (Res.) Elhanan Brazner takes part in a race from the Dead Sea to Lake Kinneret, after which he felt ill and collapsed; IDF Criminal Investigation Division appoints committee to look into the incident.
An IDF reserves officer Capt. Elhanan Brazner collapsed and died on Tuesday during a military race through the Jordan Valley. Though there were medical teams on hand, they were unable to save his life. Following the incident, the IDF Criminal Investigation Division (CID) announced it has appointed a committee to look into Brazner's death.

Brazner took part in the race, called "From Sea to Sea," which spans from the Dead Sea to Lake Kinneret in the North. After finishing a 4km run, Brazner reported feeling ill, when he suddenly collapsed. Medical personnel eventually called his time of death in the field.
