Netanyahu to his associates: It is not possible to close ‘half a corporation’
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told his associates Sunday that it is impossible to close "half a corporation," but only the entire corporation, referring to the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation. This was said for fear that the attorney general or the court will intervene in the dismissal process, or in the Communications Control Law that Netanyahu wants to legislate.
One of the parties involved said that Netanyahu had asked to examine an option for the closure of the IPBC in its entirety in order to circumvent the legal tangle, and to establish in its place another entity that would be fully controlled.
