Airports Authority workers committee chairman Pinhas Idan will support Shelly Yachimovich as head of the Histadrut.
Idan is chairman of the first large committee to announce its support for Yachimovich, who is also supported by the Shas party.
"The time has come for the Histadrut to become a professional body, not a refuge for politicians," said Idan, a veteran Likudnik and former mayor of Lod, in a conversation with Ynet.
