Histadrut labor federation proclaims labor dispute in public sector

Two days after announcing his intention to take significant organizational measures due to the treatment of IPBC, Histadrut Chairman Avi Nissenkorn announced Monday the declaration of a general labor dispute in the public sector, including government companies.
At the center of the conflict is a comprehensive reform of public broadcasting, with the establishment of an additional body endagering employment security.
The Histadrut stresses that although the planned changes are far-reaching and have serious implications for labor relations and workers' rights, the decisions to make these changes was made in complete disregard for the workers' representatives.
