Lapid says government should be held accountable for actions

During a press conference, MK Yair Lapid stated “the plan we are presenting is designed to clean up the corrupt and inefficient political system in Israel and bring us back to a normal government and improve the service that the citizen receives from the state. The government has one central role: to ask itself every morning—where do we see ourselves in five years… We should not be thinking about how we tear Israeli society apart so they vote for us out of fear and hatred; (we need to make sure) that in 5 or 10 years, we have a secure economy, (we must think about) how we can ensure our children know we did everything so they could grow up in a better reality.
