Former Shayetet 13 commander found dead in hotel

Former Shayetet 13 commander Col. Gadi Shefi (res.) was found lifeless in a hotel in Pattaya, Thailand, after being defined as missing for over a week.

Shefi, a recipient of the Medal of Distinguished Service, passed away at the age of 76 from what appears to have been heart arrest during a private vacation.

He is survived by his four children.
