In recent weeks, a number of swastikas were spray-painted in various places throughout Petah Tikva, including a bus station and a map of the city in Mahane Yehuda and Ein Ganim streets. Five days ago, a swastika was spray-painted on the Amir elementary school in Ein Ganim. The police opened an investigation.
High school officials made the decision to report the computer content to the police, who in turn, came to investigate. On computer screens in several classrooms there were pictures of Adolf Hitler, and "humorous" memes about the Holocaust serving as screen savers. Among other things, Hitler is hailed as welcoming the arrival to the camp and offering to show the spectator to the showers.
Several students were detained for questioning and the police are checking how long the pictures have been displayed on the computers and who posted them there.
