Bronze medal to Shatilov at the European Championship
The best Israeli gymnast of all time came up with a fantastic routine that earned him a score of 14.400 and the third place in the European Gymnastics Championship that was held in Romania; this is the seventh European medal for Shatilov.
Alex Shatilov won the bronze medal in the European Men's Gymnastics Championship held in Romania on Saturday. The best Israeli gymnast of all time came up with a great routine that was almost free of mistakes. Twenty-year-old Israeli Artem Dolgopyat also qualified for the finals and finished fourth with a surprising 14.33 score.
The Romanian gymnast, Marian Drăgulescu, was fantastic and scored 14.500 and won gold. Dmitrii Lankin from Russia finished with a 14.466 mark and received the silver medal.
For winning the bronze medal in the European Championship, Shatilov will receive a grant of NIS 20,000 from the joint fund of the Olympic Committee in Israel, the Ministry of Culture and Sport and the Sports Betting Council.
