New deal prevents Tuesday's strike over IBA work conditions
A compromise has been made between the Finance Ministry and the Histadrut, Israel's organization of trade unions, which prevented the workers' strike planned for Tuesday over employment rights of IBA and IPBC workers.
According to the deal, about 170 IBA workers who were laid off will receive compensation while some 100 will be hired by the government and their pensions will increase.
