Speaker of the Knesset: current policies are 'enabling the slaughter of Syrian civilians'
Speaker of the Knesset MK Yoel Edelstein hosted German journalists today as part of the events for the Holocaust mMemorial Day, saying "It is not possible to forget the past, we will deal with it and conduct our affairs with Germany in a way that looks towards the future."
Edelstein then addressed the civil war in Syria, noting that "we must not continue with our policies of ignoring what is taking place in Syria. The attempt to be politically correct is enabling the continuation of the slaughter of Syrian civilians."
