Assad in an interview before the attack in Damascus: 'Israel is helping the rebels'
Syrian President Bashar Assad said that "Israel supports the rebels by supplying weapons and equipment, medical treatment and military training in its territory."
In an interview with the SANA news agency prior to the attack in Damascus, Assad added: "These are not assumptions or claims, Israel's assistance to the rebels is a fait accompli."
