A Lebanese citizen who had infiltrated Israel was caught on Thursday evening in the central bus station in Kiryat Shmona, which is about 10 kilometers from the border.
During the evening, citizens spotted a man who looked suspicious to them in the area of the central bus station in the northern city. They called the police, who approached and questioned the man.
From their questioning, the police learnt that he was a man who infiltrated Israel from Lebanese territory.
The police brigade commander was called to the scene and the man was transferred to the security forces for questioning.
The IDF confirmed that a civilian with a Lebanese identity card had been found in Kiryat Shmona, and that the incident was under investigation.
