Police arrest 20 in weapons and drug smuggling case

Police arrested 20 suspects involved in the trafficking of weapons and drugs after an several months long investigation involving an undercover officer.

Suspects were arrested during raids in Qana, Beit Zarzir, Nazareth, Kaabiya, Zalefa and Ashkelon. During the raids, cannabis and hashish were seized, NIS 100,000 in cash and vehicles used by the traffickers.

All of the suspects will be brought before the Nazareth Magistrate's Court for further remand hearings and further arrests are expected.
