Israel's former tourism minister Benny Alon dies aged 62

Former minister of tourism Rabbi Benny Alon passed away at age 62 on Friday, after a long battle with cancer.
His funeral will take place at 15:30 in Jerusalem’s Har-Hamenuchot cemetery.
Alon served as minister of tourism in the National Union government under Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, and was appointed to the position after the assassination of Rehavam Ze'evi.
