Lieberman opposes enforcing Work and Rest Hours Law
Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said that Interior Minister Aryeh Deri's demand for the enforcement of the Work and Rest Hours Law is unnecessary, and that it shouldn’t overrule by-laws.
"There is no reason to interfere with local authorities," Lieberman said, adding that "if someone wanted to pass a law to open businesses in Bnei Brak on Shabat, I would be the first one to object. We should show patience and tolerance towards each other."
