Lapid opposes enforcing Work and Rest Hours Law

Chairman of the Yesh Atid party MK Yair Lapid addressed Interior Minister Aryeh Deri's demand for enforcement of the Work and Rest Hours Law, saying "we support the effort to create a different Shabat in Israel. The High Court's ruling supports it, so I see no reason to pass laws that overrule it."

He then added that "we support the High Court's decision to let local authorities dictate how the law is enforced. Tel Aviv is different from Bnei Brak."
