Egypt FM spokesman comments on Hamas document
In an interview about Hamas' new political document presented last week, an spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said, "There is a change in some of Hamas' positions regarding the Palestinian issue—the agreement to the 1967 lines, the vision regarding solutions and sources of authority for a political settlement, the connection with Israel."
The spokesman added that there is no political rapprochement between Egypt and Hamas, but there are channels of dialogue in the context of security and internal Palestinian reconciliation.
