14-year-old boy found neglected in Hadera apartment

A 14-year-old boy has been found in a city apartment in a state of severe neglect.

Police arrived at the apartment following a complaint by welfare agencies in Hadera that the boy had been held by his parents in the apartment without ever leaving.

Police opened an investigation and detained the boy's parents, who are about 60 years old. The boy, who does not speak Hebrew, was evacuated to child welfare services and will undergo a medical examination at Hillel Yaffe Hospital.
