Local elections in the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank, Hamas boycotts the process
Local elections will be held in 145 Palestinian authorities in the West Bank on Saturday. Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine are boycotting the process.
The Supreme Court in Ramallah ruled that elections first scheduled for October 2016 would not take place in the Gaza Strip due to the disqualification of Fatah lists by courts subordinate to Hamas.
