Border Patrol volunteer charged with criminal negligence

Kfar Saba Magistrate's Court sentenced as part of a plea deal former Border Patrol volunteer David Erik Bibi Rubi, for criminal negligence which caused the death of a Palestinian civilian in 2013.
According to the indictment, Rubi participated in a search for illegal residents at the Yarkon Cemetery in Petah Tikva, when a Palestinian who stayed there illegally fled from him, and during a chase Rubi shot him—critically wounding him.
