An IDF soldier belonging to Special Forces unit Maglan was wounded Wednesday in a parachute accident in the Upper Galilee. Initial questioning reveals that, due to human error, the soldier from the ground forces commando unit moved from the area where he was supposed to land, and landed near the landing of the docks and hit the concrete.
Following the incident, the army decided to stop the drills of training for 36 hours until the investigation was completed.
The soldier was evacuated to Rambam Hospital in Haifa, suffering from injuries in his head, and the initial investigation revealed that the wind conditions at noon were reasonable and at a speed of less than 8 knots.
