Lil Wayne to perform in Israel
Lil Wayne, one of the most successful rappers in the US, has announced he will hold a concert in Live Park in Rishon LeZion on August 24; tickets are to cost between 289 and 389 shekels.

Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., known professionally as Lil Wayne, began his music career at the age of nine, joining Cash Money Records as the youngest member of the label, and half of the duo The B.G.'z. In 1996, Lil Wayne joined the southern hip hop group Hot Boys. He made his mainstream breakthrough in 2004 with his fourth solo album Tha Carter.
Alongside the many tattoos adorning his body and the public disputes he had with other famous colleagues such as 50 Cent, Wayne is known for his improvisational talents and is considered as one of the more highly regarded rappers in his field, combining hip hop with rock and roll motifs.
Wayne is also the founder of Young Money Entertainment, which is responsible for the success of hip hop stars like Drake and Nicki Minaj. He also collaborated with superstars like Eminem, Kanye West, Wyclef Jean, Busta Rhymes and others.
