Palestinian convicted of attempted terrorism, ordered by Hamas
Muhammad Fuaz Ibrahim Julani, 22, of the Shuafat refugee camp, was convicted by Jerusalem District Court of attempted terrorism and sentenced to 8.5 years in prison.
Julani confessed to using money provided by Hamas to build an explosive device that he intended to use in a wide-scale terror attack in Jerusalem.
He also confessed that he had planned a stabbing attack in Pisgat Ze’ev earlier this year, but halted his plans out of concern that Israeli security forces would demolish his parents’ home.
