Knifeman holding hostages at job centre in northeast England

A man armed with a knife entered the premises of a job center in northern England at around 08:00 BST.
Police say that several members of the staff are thought to be held there. Roads around the premises have been blocked as Police negotiators were sent to speak to the man.
Police added that, due to the man being known to the job centre, they are treating this as an isolated incident at this stage.
