Hundreds of asylum seekers from Africa and human rights activists are marching from Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv to Habimah Square, protesting the "Deposit Law", following which Eritreans and Sudanese are required to deposit one-fifth of their wages as an incentive to leave Israel.
The protesters, among them many restaurateurs, are carrying signs reading, "Give us a chance for a minimal existence with dignity," "We fled from war, we were left with nothing," and "We cannot survive with 20 percent less."
