Two officers were dismissed and two others are expected to stand trial following the investigation into the death of reserve Cpt. Elhanan Brezner, who died during a military race three months ago. The deputy brigade commander was reprimanded by the OC Central Command.
The commission of inquiry found that there was a gap in preparing the exercise files for the race and in the manner in which they were written, as some of them were written in retrospect and one of the officers lied about the date of their writing. At the same time, the findings of a Military Police investigation into the matter were handed over to the State Prosecutor's Office.
