Former command of Galilee Division, Gal Hirsch, questioned by police on suspected fraud
Gal Hirsch, the former commander of the IDF's Galilee Division, was questioned Sunday at the Israel Police's Anti Fraud Unit along with other executives and employees of Defensive Shield Holdings Ltd, where he serves as chairman.
The Police's Spokesperson's Unit said the investigation, which began a year ago, is looking into Israeli involvement in suspected tax fraud, money laundering and bribery in deals abroad.
The suspects allegedly won massive bids for projects in a foreign country unlawfully.
