The plant managers summoned to hearing over massive acid leak

The Ministry of Environmental Protection is to hold a hearing over the circumstances that led to acidic water flowing for several hours into the Asalim Stream in the Judean Desert reserve on Friday. The top brass at the Rotem Amfert plant in the south of Israel have been summoned to explain what led to the leak. The ministry suspects that the plant violated regulations and even the terms of its poison handling permit, causing the reserve to leak.
