Power station turned over to PA

The Israel Electric Corporation handed the Palestinian Authority the first of four stations built in the West Bank to increase the amount of electricity flowing from Israel to the PA.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah and Minister of National Infrastructures, Energy and Water Yuval Steinitz. The station will provide additional electricity to the Jenin area.
The remaining stations are located in Ramallah, Tarqumiya and Nablus. The station will be operated by a team from the Palestinian Electric Company and is part of the roof agreement between the Israel Electric Corporation and the Palestinian Authority, which will enable a much more effective collection mechanism than exists today.
