A Palestinian burglar was killed and another seriously wounded Monday night when a man opened fire on them as they attempted to break into his home in Moshav Beit Yitzhak in the Sharon region.
Upon arriving at the scene, Magen David Adom paramedics were forced to pronounce the death of one of the burglars, a man in his 30s, and evacuated the second wounded man, also in his 30s, to a nearby hospital.
Police stated that they received a distress call about a wounded burglar at about 9:30pm local time.
"An initial questioning revealed that the owner of the house heard noises (in the room where the shooting took place), and when he entered the room (where the noises were coming from), he saw two suspects with burglary tools in their hands," said the police, noting that he opened fire on the burglars in response.
