Justice Minister on alimony ruling: 'I instructed to prepare a government bill in this spirit'

Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked responded to the Supreme Court's ruling that divorced parents of children aged 6 to 15 must share alimony, saying that "the ruling states that a fair and more equitable burden must be shared between parents while ensuring the best interests of the child."

Shaked added that "a few months ago I instructed the professionals in the Ministry of Justice to prepare a government bill in this spirit, and in the next session I will bring the proposal to the Knesset for discussion.
