PA President: 'Won't renew relations with Israel until restoration of previous security arrangements on Temple Mount'
PA President Mahmoud Abbas announced on Tuesday the continuation of the freeze in relations with Israel, despite the withdrawal of metal detectors at the entrance to the Temple Mount.
"As long as all (security) measures do not return to what they were before July 14, there will be no change" in the freeze in relations with Israel, said Abbas at a meeting with senior PA officials.
"All the Israeli measures on the ground since that date so far have to disappear and come to an end. Then things will return to normal in Jerusalem and we will resume our work on bilateral relations with them (Israel)," he added.
