The King of Jordan Abdullah II has ordered the donation of a million Jordanian dinar, equal to 1.5 million dollars, to the Waqf of Al-Aqsa mosque.
The Waqf said earlier the king had made a decision to donate a million dollars to the mosque's Islamic museum and give Waqf employees a 300 dinar grant.
Earlier today Abdullah said, "We're closely monitoring the Jerusalem situation. The challenge it poses is political, not just about security."
