Palestinian UN worker arrested by Shin Bet

According to the Foreign Ministry: Hamdan Tamaraz, born in 1956 and a resident of Nuseirat in the Gaza Strip, is a UN employee working for UNDSS (United Nations Department of Safety and Security). He was arrested for questioning by the Shin Bet for involvement in security offenses.

During questioning, information was received indicating his involvement in prohibited activity. Following his questioning, he was released, and the findings of the investigation are currently being examined by the relevant authorities.

UN authorities have received reports from Israel regarding his detention and the investigation.
