Doctor attacked by patient at psychiatric hospital
A doctor was attacked by a patient at the Sha'ar Menashe psychiatric medical center in northern Israel on Tuesday.
The patient hit the doctor in his face, but was quickly subdued by other personnel.
The doctor was taken to the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center for treatment.
The chairman of the Doctors' Union said the attack happened at a ward where dangerous patients are housed and was merely the latest in a series of attacks against doctors and medical personnel. He said doctors will go on a one-hour strike on Wednesday in protest.
