Mahmoud Abbas reportedly suspends further anti-Israeli measures in UN

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has decided to suspend further anti-Israeli actions in the United Nations Security Council and other institutions, to avoid being blamed for foiling the American peace initiative before it was ever presented, reports the A-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper.

Abbas reportedly reached this decision after consulting with other Arab leaders.

Jared Kushner, President Trump's advisor and son-in-law, reportedly asked leaders of the Arab world—Abbas included—to give him a chance to present a peace plan and a major regional action.
