Man seriously injured in apparent criminal hit attempt

A 28-year-old man was seriously injured on Thursday in the Haifa suburb of Kiryat Haim, after an explosive charge placed underneath his car was detonated. Emergency services were called and evacuated the man for medical treatment.

The injured man is known to the police, which have opened an investigation on the incident.

Police believe the motivation for the hit was criminial.
