Iran wants to develop its missile program, says new defense minister

Iran's top priority is to develop its missile program and export arms to its allies, Tehran's new Minister of Defense General Amir Hatami said Saturday,
"God willing, the fighting capabilities of Iran's ballistic and cruise missiles will increase" in the near future, he said.
Hatami also said his country would seek to export weapons "to avoid wars."
"Whenever a country becomes weak, others are encouraged to launch attacks against it ... Whenever necessary, we will export weapons to increase the security of the region" to prevent wars, he said.
